In my sophomore year of high school, my mother (Angela Rhodes) asked me to arrange the holiday classic Joy to the World for the Booneville Intermediate Band to perform at the annual Christmas Concert. However, there was one catch - she wanted me to include a large French Horn solo for the star hornist of the ensemble! So I did! Do not worry, I have doubled it on the sax and trumpet just in case. The piece was performed, and best of all the Intermediate Band joined forces with the Booneville Advanced Band to create a more powerful performance! What a way to celebrate the Holiday season with a very happy arrangement of Joy to the World!
