This work is inspired from the mountain with the same name right outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. I wanted to capture the feeling of being present on this monument of nature - less about the physical sensation of being there but more so knowing the history behind this mountain, what has sprouted from the very ground from which I stand on. Within this work I imagine different scenes - the literal feelings of the mountain itself, the Native Americans being forced from their lands on the Trail of Tears, the French sailing down the Arkansas River, and more.
