At the time of writing this piece, I was looking back on the wonderful memories I have of my cat, Sweetie back at home. She is an American shorthair tabby cat, and is an incredibly beautiful and sweet kitty, hence her name. Now that I am in college 99% of the time, I hardly ever get to see her, and so I wanted to write something that playfully reminds me of her. The piece goes through all the different moods or events that my cat has, from running around all over the place to sleeping to lovey-dovey mode (if you have a cat you will know what I mean) to chasing after toy mice! I tried
to depict each mood in a light-hearted and humorous way – towards the end I even have the flutists represent cat purrs and speaking to her! It definitely reminds me of my kitty back at home, and I hope it brings soft, cute and joyous experiences for everyone involved!
