The trombone is such a versatile instrument, and with this piece I really wanted to capture that. There are sections of pure fury juxtaposed with sections of soft melodious music. While all of it has an ominous feel, I feel there is a lot that can be said with this music - what that is is for the performers and listeners to decide.
