Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote a poem that is only four lines long, but has had a profound impact on my life and how I view and see the world today. This poem, Desire is the speakers brief description of what true love feels like, especially when it first sprouts. It compares the feeling of desire to a fire that continues to burn and leave embers, which is something I tried to depict in this choral setting. I am not sure I did the poem full justice, but I gave it my best and I hope you enjoy.
