This work was originally titled Breath, named after the extended technique of blowing air into your instrument without creating a pitch. However, as the piece progressed I decided to rename the work Breath-Less as a comedic nod to the extreme difficulty and the ever continuous lines that are present in the work, leaving the players exhausted and, well, breath-less. While this piece is extremely difficult, it is a great way to show off the technical ability of your ensemble!
